The cuisine of Mexico is delicious
and diverse. Throughout the nation the mix of Aztec,
Spanish and to a lesser degree French influences are sewn into the
fabric of Mexican
Cuisine. Until last century many parts of Southern USA were part
of Mexico. This together with the migration of Mexicans to the USA
has developed what is known as “Tex Mex”
cuisine.
There is a myriad of sauces and accompaniments that can be used to
create fabulous
flavours. At the Flying Fajita Sistas we see each recipe far from
being an end in itself, but
rather as a building block open to subtle variation and wild experimentation.
We have used
over a decade of experience cooking Mexican food to create the menu.
It is a combination
of “traditional” and “Tex-Mex”. In creating
the menu we have focused on fantastic flavours.
We are still engaging in wild experimentation so check our daily
specials.
There is a common misconception that all Mexican food is hot. This
is not the case and it
totally depends on the individual how much heat they want. At the
Flying Fajita Sistas we
believe that any culinary nuclear fission depends on how you like
it. For this reason we have
a selection of sauces so you can customise the heat on your meals.
Please help yourself to
our selection of hot sauces and ask our friendly staff if you need
assistance.
We understand that many diners have
dietary requirements and we are more than happy
to be accommodating. Please ask your wait staff for assistance with
this matter.
We are fully licensed and allow BYO
bottled wine only for which there is a corkage charge of $4 per bottle.
